Here’s All About Dubai's New Sanad Tourist Card (image-special arrangement)

The Dubai authorities have launched a new digital card called the Sanad Tourist Card as part of the nation’s efforts to promote inclusivity. The Community Development Authority has introduced the card, which is packed with exclusive privileges, including free services.

With this, individuals will get the opportunity to avail all the benefits that are offered to People of Determination holding the Sanad Card in the city, as per the Gulf News report.

Tourists can enjoy exceptional experiences, including free access to public transportation such as the Dubai Metro, buses, and ferries; free entry or discounts at top tourist attractions like Dubai Parks and Dubai Frame; a special parking permit; a 50 per cent discount on taxi fares; and exclusive discounts at malls, restaurants, pharmacies, and telecom providers.

This initiative was taken after conducting a detailed study involving over 65,000 tourists. The study was conducted in collaboration with the Dubai Economy and Tourism Department.

The digital card will be issued within 24 hours of a tourist’s arrival in Dubai.

In order to avail the card, these are the following application steps:
• Submit the application through the CDA’s official channels.
• Receive confirmation via SMS or email.
• Await verification and approval from the relevant authorities.
• Upon approval, receive the digital Sanad Card electronically.

The Sanad Card serves as an official identification for People of Determination, ensuring that they receive the support and accommodation they need. The holders would get access to various services and benefits provided by both government and private entities in Dubai.
