Canadian Pop Singer Justin Bieber received criticism for sharing a post in support of Israel using the image of destruction in Gaza strip.

Though his intention was to support Israel in the current Israel-Hamas war, he mistakenly place devastation in Gaza to write the message that “Praying for Israel”. Realising his error, musician soon deleted the post and replaced it with same message removing the photo.

In a green background, he wrote, “Praying for Israel,” with a heartbroken emoji.

Mohammed Zubair, co-founder of fact-checking website Alt News, shared the photos and details on Instagram.

Mr Zubair shared that American actress Jamie Lee Curtis had also posted inaccurate image regarding the war.

However, the inaccurate photo sparked criticism against Mr Bieber on social media. Some the comments posted by the users on X are given below:

Besides pop singer, many celebrities expressed their support to Israel during the Isreal-Hamas war. Gal Gadot, Sarah Silverman, Mark Hamill, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Kris Jenner, Natalie Portman, Andy Cohen, Madonna, Jamie Lee Curtis, Debra Messing, Amy Schumer, Meghan McCain and more celebrities shared their tributes to Israel on social media platforms.

On Saturday, Palestinian militant group, Hamas launched an unprecedented attack on Israel, and in response Israel entered war with Hamas. As the war enters six day, thousands of people on both sides are killed, wounded and also being held hostages.
