FIFA and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar and FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 have launched the registration process for the Qatar 2025 FIFA Volunteer Programme on Tuesday. Qatar’s volunteer program during the FIFA events, notably during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, had introduced several distinctive features which had set it apart from previous tournaments.

The newly launched program aims to attract 4,000 volunteers to support operational activities in 20 areas, including tournament management, media and fan services, permits, hospitality, and more. The CEO of the committee, Jassim Abdulaziz Al Jassim, praised the volunteers who had played a crucial role in event operations, but also in sharing rich culture and renowned hospitality with fans and guests.

“The upcoming FIFA Arab Cup and FIFA U-17 World Cup will be no exception and carry forward the volunteering legacy left by the FIFA World Cup and AFC Asian Cup,” he said.

Applicants who are willing to be part of the tournament must be residents of Qatar, at least 18 years of age, have a good command of English, and must be available for the duration of the tournament, which includes the pre-event training sessions. Knowing other languages, especially Arabic, will be an advantage; however, no prior volunteer experience is required.

The registration portal will be open for two weeks, and the selection process will begin from June. The applicants will have to attend the interview, which will take place at the Volunteer Recruitment Centre, located at Lusail Stadium. However, individuals who have volunteer experience in FIFA events held in Qatar will not have to attend the interview.

A single application will cover both events, and candidates can indicate their preferred option. The roles will be assigned to only one event due to the overlapping of the schedules.

Qatar residents interested to be part of the mega sports event can register at volunteer.fifa.com/invite/qatar2025.
