Acknowledging the recent distressing developments occurring in Gaza”s Al Shifa hospital, India said on Thursday, “We condemn terror attacks.”
Addressing a press conference, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said: “This is not about the facility, India has always underlined the need for avoiding civilian casualties, humanitarian law to be observed, and to encourage any efforts to provide humanitarian relief to those caught in the conflict.”
“We have also on larger issue talked about de-escalating the tension, deliver humanitarian assistance . . . our concern at the humanitarian toll,” he added.
We have also talked about . . . how India had sent 38,0000 tones of humanitarian relief materials, and we are looking to send more assistance, Mr Bagchi stressed.
Adding further, he said: “We condemn terror attacks. We have zero tolerance for terrorism.” Besides, MEA spokesperson added that the need for immediate and unconditional release of the hostages were also talked about.
Meanwhile, it has been reported by Al Jazeera sources that in the hour-long raids conducted on Gaza”s largest hospital complex, Israeli military is holding over 200 Palestinians in the hospital’s yard. They were put on blindfolds, interrogated, and taken to unknown areas, it said. Another report claims that forces has destroyed a building – the specialised surgeries building – at hospital complex..
Recently, Israel Defence Force (IDF) released video revealing the Hamas group”s weapons hidden inside the hospital complex; but, Hamas declined Israeli forces” claims.
As the Israel-Hamas war continues in its 42 day, over 11,300 Palestinians have been killed in Israel”s attack on Gaza, and more than 1,200 Israel people lost lives on Hamas”s attack.
