The war between Israel and Iran is only getting thicker as days pass. The back and forth ‘fire balling’ has caught the general public in a cacophony of chaos and confusions. Departing from the previous two responses, when Tehran took days to hit back Tel Aviv in 2024, the retaliation this time was swift and flinty. While the casualties are higher in Iran in comparison to Israel, internet apparently cheers for the former.

A huge part of social media population appears to point fingers at Israel, saying “you reap what you sow”. The comment sections of video footages showing Iranian missiles hitting Israel sound heavily one sided. The ridiculing of current situation in Israel stretched far enough to the release of a “celebration anthem” against Israel called “Boom Boom Tel Aviv”, which goes viral within hours on platforms like TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.

The song is reportedly written by Lucas Gage, a veteran US Marine Corps, and activist. With rhythmic chorus and bold lines, the song is being widely shared throughout the platforms, paired with clips of missiles hitting Tel Aviv.

The lyrics of the song is heavily loaded with accusations against Israel for committing genocide in Gaza. It also mentions the controversial and explicit TikTok videos made by Israelis mocking the sufferings of Palestinians. The song says Tel Aviv brought this upon themselves, “This is what you get for all your evil deed”.

It also says, “You were mocking dead kids – But now you’re getting hit…And you cry victim – And say you didn’t start this…But the whole world sees that your lies are retarded”.

The comments appreciating the song are overwhelmingly high. Only countable users are calling out the barbarism in celebrating the deaths of a certain community, pointing out what is the difference between what Israel has done and what netizens are celebrating now. Even the ones accusing the inflammatory lyrics, tone down their views with accusation against Israel.

Gage did not end it with a song. Apparently, there is even a T-shirt with ‘Boom Boom Tel Aviv’ written on it.

Apart from the song, social media platforms are flooded with memes and reels blaming Israel for crying out after what the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and the Israeli Occupation Force has done to the Palestinians in Gaza and West Bank. Some also points out that the genocide is still going on in Gaza.

An Instagram page named ‘americans4peace’ shared video of showing scenes after an Iranian missile hit Israel, with caption reading, “You (Israelis) are forbidden to sleep”.

Americans are not interested in helping the Israelis, as per the TikTok troll videos going viral, as reported by Turkish media Yeni Safak. In a compilation of videos, people who are apparently Americans are turning their back on an Israeli comment asking “America please help”.
