Los Angeles, US: The devastating wildfires in Los Angeles have displaced thousands of people. The Pacific Palisades neighbourhood was the most affected. Palisades is known for its high-end residents including several Hollywood celebrities and billionaires. Reportedly, several celebrities lose their homes in the ravaging fire.

Paris Hilton said the “devastation is unimaginable”. Taking to Instagram, she confirmed the destruction of her Malibu home which was filled with cherished memories. “This home was where we built so many precious memories,” she wrote. “The devastation is unimaginable”.

She also expressed sympathies to others who lost their homes. “This home was where we built so many precious memories. It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London. While the loss is overwhelming, I’m holding onto gratitude that my family is safe. My heart and prayers are going out to every family affected by these fires. To all the people who have lost their homes, their memories, and their beloved pets. My heart aches for those still in harm’s way or mourning greater losses. The devastation is unimaginable. To know so many are waking up today without the place they called home is truly heartbreaking”.

Star Wars fame Mark Hamill shared his experience while fleeing from Malibu. Taking to his Instagram, the star also expresses gratitude for the firefighters who risked their lives in containing the fire. “Evacuated Malibu so last minute,” Hamill wrote on Instagram. “Small fires on both sides of the road as we approached (the Pacific Coast Highway)”.

Jamie Lee Curtis said that they had evacuated homes. “It’s a terrifying situation, and I’m grateful to the firefighters and all of the good Samaritans who are helping people get out of the way of the blaze”, she wrote on her Instagram. She also added that many of her friends had already lost their homes.

Mandy Moore evacuated her home with her children and pets. Taking to her Instagram story, she said she is not sure if her house made it out of the fire or not. “So gutted for the destruction and loss. Don’t know if our place made it”, she wrote. She also expressed that she is grateful for the first responders.

Taking to X, James Woods shared flames engulfing hillside near his residence. “Standing in my driveway, getting ready to evacuate…It tests your soul, losing everything at once, I must say”, he wrote.

 

Ben Affleck fled his $20 million Pacific Palisades home, while it was on the verge of being consumed by flames. Reportedly, Affleck was seen driving to his ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s home for refuge. Garner and her family have not yet been told to evacuate as the residents in her area are currently on standby.

According to media reports, nearly 30,000 people — including several celebrities — in the Los Angeles area have evacuated their pricey homes during the fires.
