Death Toll Rises To Nearly 500 In Deadly Nepal Flash Flood As Search Continues
Nepal: The death toll has reached at least 469 in the deadly Nepal flash flood that occurred on Wednesday, according Nepal police. The police on Friday confirmed the casualties as search operation continues for the missing people.
As dammed lake upstream of the Gyirong border port has begun to overflow, risk has grown further of flooding in the border regions of Nepal and Tibet that are already reeling, as per Chinese state broadcaster CCTV visuals.

Both Nepal and China warned of fresh risks of flooding as authorities scramble to respond to the ongoing casualties due to the expected flash flood.
According to the latest update, the situation on the ground has complicated rescue efforts, with at least 1,000 people still unaccounted for, including almost 650 foreigners and tourists.
