Over 100 Indians Among Tourists Missing After Massive Flash Floods In Nepal
Nepal: At least 105 Indian tourists are missing after the devastating flash floods hit Nepal’s Rasuwa district bordering Tibet on Wednesday, August 26. At least 19 people are confirmed death while over 400 persons are reported missing after the massive flash flood in India’s neighbouring country.
The incident happened after a sudden, massive flood swept through two central Nepal districts bordering. The flood has caused extensive devastation at settlements along the river and damaging houses, bridges, roads, houses and hydropower projects.

Terrifying and scary visuals shows the water jumping to the crowded areas, destroying every infrastructure and causing massive fatalities. Though officials confirmed the death of 19 so far, the exact number is yet to be ascertained.
In a social media post, Indian Prime Minister Modi expressed his condolences on the loss of lives due to the floods. “The people of India stand in solidarity with their sisters and brothers in Nepal at this difficult time. India is ready to provide all possible humanitarian assistance to Nepal,” the prime minister wrote on X, adding that teams from India are coordinating closely on rescue and relief efforts.

The flood surged through the Bhote Koshi River at around 9 am coming from the Tibet side affecting Rasuwa and Dhading districts bordering Tibet and Nuwakot district, southwest of Kathmandu, according to the authorities.
