Heavy Rainfall Triggers Flash Floods, Brings Havoc In Arunachal Pradesh's Keyi Panyor
Keyi Panyor, Arunachal Pradesh: Heavy rainfall caused a stream to overflow and an under-construction retaining wall to collapse at NEEPCO Colony in Posa, Yazali in Arunachal Pradesh’s Keyi Panyor district on Wednesday, June 24. At least three people are missing, as the landslides blocked roads and disrupting connectivity.
The downpour has triggered flash floods that damaged over 15 residential quarters and washed away the main highway bridge. Rescue operations by State Disaster Response Force are underway, the NEEPCO powerhouse has been shut down, and National Disaster Response Force is on alert.

The authorities have instructed the additional deputy commissioner, the deputy superintendent of police and the circle officer to reach the affected areas and monitor the situation and carry out rescue operation. Officials said that all available reserve personnel and vehicles have been mobilised within the Yazali jurisdiction, and ex-servicemen have also been called in to support emergency operations.
