Heavy Rainfall Triggers Flooding In Mumbai's Madhuban Township
Madhuban, Mumbai: Continuous extreme downpour caused critical flash flooding and waterlogging in the Madhuban township area of Vasai, Mumbai, on Saturday, July 4.
Videos from the area showed floodwaters inundating local roads and flowing like rivers, severely restricting pedestrian and vehicular movement.

Several vehicles were seen submerged on the flooded roads. The torrential rains lashing the city for the past few days have caused massive flooding in several parts of the city and significant disruption to residents’ daily lives.
Several roads are impassable making transportation disrupted. Following the rain-induced havoc, authorities have urged residents to remain cautious.

Meanwhile, many on social media slam the authorities for not maintaining the city properly, causing waterlogging and disruptions during the monsoon seasons. Several pointed out that they are paying global real estate prices and taxes only to face severe waterlogging as heavy rains paralyse traffic, exposing critical infrastructure failures.
There are several common flooding spot in the city during monsoon including the Andheri subway.
