Simi Garewal, Indian TV host, actor, and producer find herself at the receiving end of criticism for her post on tech tycoon Elon Musk. Taking to her X, she wrote that Musk is aiming to be POTUS in 2028.

She said the upcoming Presidential election is just a dress rehearsal for what is to come, and using Trump as a platform for what is to come.

The comment session of her post were filled with netizens questioning her source knowledge. They pointed out that only a natural US citizen can be the President and Musk is a South African born.

One X user said the actor-director has lived in the Bollywood environment for far long that the “whole dynamics are lost on you”. Another one criticised that Garewal have “multiple options on everything but don’t know the single rules”.

Another user said since Musk cannot be a President, “he would rather have control over the POTUS of his choice than be one himself. He is not someone who takes responsibility for his actions”.

Musk grabbed headlines over his promise at a weekend pro-Trump rally to give away $1 million each day until Election Day. Pennsylvania’s Democratic governor, Josh Shapiro, on Sunday called on law enforcement to investigate Musk on the matter.

He said, Musk’s plan to give money to registered voters in Pennsylvania is “deeply concerning” and “it’s something that law enforcement could take a look at”.

Pennsylvania is a must win state for both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. The promise of money is the latest example of Musk using his extraordinary wealth to influence the tightly contested presidential race.

The X owner has already gave away $ 1 million two times, as per Reuters. Musk is promising to give $1 million each day to someone who signs his online petition, which reads: “The First and Second Amendments guarantee freedom of speech and the right to bear arms. By signing below, I am pledging my support for the First and Second Amendments”.
