Trump Eyes Elon Musk for Key Role in Auditing US Agencies: 'I Can't Wait' Says Musk.

Former US President Donald Trump has announced that he would consider appointing billionaire Elon Musk, as an advisor or cabinet member in his administration if he is re-elected in the US election which is scheduled for November 5. Since Musk supports Trump in building his reigh back in the country, Trump has praised Musk, saying “He’s a very smart guy. I certainly would, if he would do it, I would. He’s a brilliant guy.”

Musk has expressed his willingness to serve in Trump’s administration, posting on his website, X, “I am willing to serve” alongside an AI-generated image of himself at a podium. This comes after Musk endorsed Trump last month and announced his involvement with the super PAC, America PAC, which aims to raise money for Trump’s campaign and it was reportedly stated that News reports said that he would be donating $45 million to the super PAC. However, Musk denied it later.

This tongue-in-cheek post references a cryptocurrency meme that Musk has previously endorsed that further highlighted his interest in optimising government operations. Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has repeatedly expressed his desire to join a “government efficiency commission” focused on streamlining regulations and reducing unnecessary expenditures of the government. He posted to X that he can’t wait to be a part of the team and there has to be a lot to wipe off.

Despite their past feud, which included exchanging insults on social media, Trump and Musk have recently reconciled and were visible through their social media posts. Both of them have discussed various topics, including immigration, technology, and the U.S. Space Force and some were shared through their social media handles confirming the solid relation and solidarity between the two. Trump even complimented Musk on his business acumen, calling him “the greatest cutter” for his handling of striking workers. On the contrary, Musk constantly extended his support for the upcoming election being an ally of Trump and his views.

However, their recent interactions have not been without controversy and have triggered many. The United Auto Workers filed federal labour charges against Musk and Trump for allegedly attempting to “intimidate and threaten” workers. This development follows Trump’s praise for Musk’s handling of striking workers in the US. In response to that the opponent and Vice President Kamala Harris said that Trump focuses on serving people like Elon Musk and himself, they are ‘self-obsessed’ rich guys who are likely to sell out the middle class.

According to the reports, some advisors to Donald Trump are tempering expectations about the level of influence Elon Musk would wield in a potential second administration. Additionally, other candidates being considered for a hypothetical “government efficiency commission” include prominent business leaders such as Fred Smith, former CEO of FedEx, and Robert Nardelli, former CEO of Home Depot.
