Kim Jong Un Takes A Look At Russia’s Nuclear Bombers

Edited by Fathimathu Shana

Underscoring the alleged ammunition deals between North Korea and Russia, North Korean President Kim Jong Un visits Russia’s nuclear bombers and missiles. Earlier on Friday, Mr. Kim scouted around Russia’s aircraft factory taking a peek at the cockpit of Su-57, Russia’s most advanced fighter jet, and other weapon and technology sites.

Today, Mr. Kim inspected Russia’s nuclear capable bombers and warplanes. After arriving at Artyom, 40 km northeast to Vladivostok, in his bulletproof train, Kim Jong Un went to the airport situated outside the seaside city of Vladivostok. While taking a tour to inspect Russia’s strategic bombers and warplanes, Mr. Kim was accompanied by Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu and other military officials.

According to report, Mr. Kim is expected to visit naval ships of Russia’s Pacific fleet. As per reports from analysts, Mr. Kim’s this visit may underline North Korea’s ambition to acquire advanced technologies for building nuclear-propelled submarines and ballistic missile submarines.

Over the past few months, North Korea has asseverated its desire to augment the country’s navy as an attempt to counter the sophisticated naval forte of South Korea, Japan, and United States.

Kim Jong Un’s visit to Russia has sparked speculations about the alleged ammunition transfer from North Korea to Russia in exchange of knowledge on advanced nuclear submarines and spy military satellites, in which North Korea has failed twice as the carrier vehicles malfunctioned while reaching the orbit.

As Ukraine’s counteroffensive is getting stronger, Russia is desperate to re-load its stock on ammunition which is dangerously depleting on the war ground. US officials alleged that North Korea is already supplying artillery shells and army rockets to Russia. US has already warned about UN sanctions to North Korea if the country is to provide weapons to Russia which will aid in prolonging Russia’s war on Ukraine. However, the two internationally isolated countries are seemingly on its highway to provide for each other on the ground of defying West supremacy.
