United States Secret Service agent who was assigned to protect President Joe Biden’s granddaughter Naomi Biden has opened fire on Sunday at an attempted car break-in suspect. The incident happened in Washington D. C.

Around 11:58 pm in the Georgetown neighbourhood, the secret service agent has encountered with three individuals who were breaking a window of an unoccupied government vehicle that has been parked, and it is confirmed that the federal agent who fired the service weapon was assigned to protect Naomi Biden, said Fox News.

One of the secret service agent discharged a service weapon. It is believed that no one is hit, as said by the Secret Service. The miscreants were said to flee the location immediately in a red vehicle. A regional lookout was issued to the supporting units.

In a statement provided by the Secret Service Agency, it is said that, ‘there was no threat to any protectees and the incident is being investigated by the DC Metropolitan Police Department and the Secret Service”. The 29 year old granddaughter of the American President, Naomi Biden is eldest daughter of Hunter Biden and his ex-wife Kathleen Buhle.

Washington has been notorious for carjackings and car thefts, this year alone there were more than 750 carjackings and more than 6000 reports of stolen vehicles.
