Hyderabad: In a shocking daylight robbery attempt, armed robbers barged into the Khazana Jewellery store at Chandanagar on Tuesday morning and opened fire on staff members. The incident occurred around 10:35 a.m., when five armed assailants entered the store, pointed guns at the staff, and attempted to steal jewelry.
When the Deputy manager attempted to resist, the robbers fired at him, and he sustained a bullet injury in the leg.
As per the reports, the suspects grabbed 10-kg worth silver jewellery from the display counters. They have also fired at a CCTV before fleeing on motorcycles.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mahanti IPS reached the scene and conducted a detailed inspection. Mahanti said that Chandanagar police are investigating the case, and CCS and SOT teams are working jointly.
“In a robbery attempt at Khazana Jewellery in Chandanagar, around 3 to 4 offenders attempted robbery with weapons. They also fired at one person in the leg. The injured has been shifted to hospital and there is no property loss as per preliminary information. We will update soon,” The Chandanagar police said in a statement, as reported by the Times of India.
According to police, the armed gang’s robbery attempt was similar in style to a previous heist at Muthoot Finance. The assailants acted without fear. Police are now reviewing CCTV footage from nearby shops and traffic cameras to help identify the suspects.
