Apparently, US Republican candidate Donald Trump falsely implied of Taylor Swift’s endorsement, posting fake images on social media of the singer and her fans supporting him. Many pictures appear to have been created using AI (Artificial Intelligence).
Trump posted the message “I accept!” alongside the images, which were taken from other social media accounts. Many appear to have been created using artificial intelligence. The incident sparked a backlash among the ‘Swifties’ (Swift’s fans), accusing Trump of spreading misinformation.
Taylor Swift, the sensation pop singer has not endorsed for any of the candidates yet. She backed the Democrats during the 2020 presidential election, and had criticised while he was the President, during the nationwide protests over the murder of George Floyd by the police.
In one of the pictures shared by Trump, Swift’s fans were wearing t-shirt that read, “Swifties for Trump’. The post appeared to have a “satire” tag, with a headline that read, “Swifties Turning to Trump after ISIS foiled Taylor Swift concert”.
Lol, Trump posted a collage of AI generated Taylor Swift fans wearing ‘Swifities for Trump’ T-shits, and wrote “I accept!” as if this were real.
I mean…..this is uniquely pathetic, even for Trump. pic.twitter.com/GUVXQLqzYo

Even by the dismal standards of Donald Trump this is a new low. All it will do is probably force Taylor Swift to comment and that’s not going to be good for him or his faltering campaign pic.twitter.com/SCiSiU12WJ

The pop singer had to cancel three concerts in Vienna after a possible security threat. Police also arrested two people on the suspicion of planning attacks alleged to be inspired by the Islamic State group.

Another re-posted photo mimicked a World War One US army recruiting poster, which replaced Uncle Sam’s face with Swift’s and read: “Taylor wants you to vote for Donald Trump”.
According to NBC News, two of the images that Trump re-posted feature real women who are his supporters.
“After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence?,” she posted on Twitter/X. “We will vote you out in November”.
Once there were dozens of deepfake pictures portraying black people supporting Trump. There was no evidence linking the images to Trump’s campaign.

Last week, the former president shared an AI-generated image depicting Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris speaking at a communist rally at the Democratic National Convention, which is being held in Chicago this week.
He also accused an original photo of Harris with thousands of supporters during a campaign rally that was held at a Detroit aircraft hangar as AI-generated.
“Has anyone noticed that Kamala CHEATED at the airport?” Trump posted on his social media platform, Truth Social. “There was nobody at the plane, and she ‘A.I.’d’ it, and showed a massive ‘crowd’ of so-called followers, BUT THEY DIDN’T EXIST!”
