Zomato's Latest Offering From Mother's Day: 'Photo Cakes'

Online food delivery platform Zomato has now come up with a new offering for the foodies: photo cakes. According to company CEO Deepinder Goyal, the feature is currently live in select areas of Delhi NCR, and will available soon in other cities.

The attractive feature of the new ad on to its menu list is that the customized cake with the photo will be delivered within half and hour. Before launching into the customers, the CEO of Zomato, Deepinder Goyal tested the feature by ordering a cake for one of his employees who completed 10 years at the restaurant aggregator. Goyal, 41 ordered the customized cake for a Zomato executive who leads the company’s HR team.

Sharing the new launch on X, Deepinder Goyal wrote, “A more light hearted update for today – we just launched Photo Cakes on @zomato – now you can upload your picture and get a customized cake delivered in about 30 minutes. Tested the feature myself to congratulate Aashna on completing 10 yrs at @zomato. She joined Zomato a few days after she turned 20, and now co-leads the people/HR team at Zomato.Hope you try out photo cakes as well — feature live in select areas of Delhi NCR, other cities coming soon! Big thank you to our restaurant partners for working with us so closely for this launch, in preparation for Mother’s Day.”

The feature is only now available in select regions in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR). The Zomato said that it will be introduced in other cities soon. The users who are wishing to try this, will have to upload a photo the customer on the app. The feature was launched ahead of Mother’s Day when the platform sees many cake orders.
