Sneha Sharma – A Bihar Teacher Spends Her First Salary On Poor Students

A good teacher is like a candle – it consumes itself to light the way for others. Well, Indeed the quote holds for Sneha Sharma, a BPSC teacher from Begusarai, Bihar, who garnered praise for her noteworthy gesture. A post is making rounds on social media where Sneha can be seen distributing school bags to the children living in slums.

Usually, the first salary is special for everyone and we try to make the maximum possible out of it by giving gifts to our family members and spending it on luxury.  However, the primary school teacher Sneha Sharma chose a unique way to spend her first salary. Upon receiving her first salary Sneha instead of spending on herself preferred students. She distributed school bags to almost 120 children living in a slum area in Lohiya Nagar, Begusarai.

“I am fortunate that I got the privilege of doing something among these needy people. Everyone lives for themselves but I am very happy to distribute some part of my income among needy children”, said Sneha to Etvbharat.

Mentioning that Sneha after getting success in BPSC is serving as a teacher in Radha Devi Kanya Secondary School, Navkothi. With the help of the Maya Kaushal Foundation, Sneha reached out to these students and distributed school bags along with water bottles, copies, and pens. Notably, the Maya Kaushal Foundation conducts classes for students living in slums and also provides them with physical training such as Tycondo.

People in Begusarai are praising her saying that a teacher must be like her. Children also expressed happiness receiving the school material.
