Lok Sabha Election 2024: Tamil Actors Ajith, Dhanush, Rajnikanth Cast Votes

Voting for the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 has begun on Friday. Several popular faces from the film industry cast their votes in the morning hours on Friday. Superstar Rajnikanth cast his vote at the Poes Garden polling. 

Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu BJP chief and party’s candidate from Coimbatore constituency, K Annamalai, cast his vote at a polling booth in Tamil Nadu’s Uthupatti, Karur. 

Actor Rajinikanth was accompanied by his publicist and his team at the polling booth. After casting his vote, the Tamil actor greeted everyone and flashed his inked finger for the photographs and videographers. The video of the actor arriving at the booth and casting his vote is now widely circulated on social media. He was mobbed by fans while exiting the polling booth. 

Polling began at 7 am on Friday in all 39 constituencies in Tamil Nadu amid tight security arrangements. 

Actor Dhanush cast his vote at the St Francis Xavier School on TTK Road at around 8 am. Dressed in white, Ajith was also seen casting his vote. 

Rajnikanth, Ajith and Sivakarthikeyen spoke to the press after voting, urging people to come out and perform their civic duty. Meanwhile, Gautham Karthik, directors Sundar C, Vetri Maaran and Sasikumar also cast their votes. 

Actor and MNM cheif Kamal Haasan cast his vote at a polling booth in Koyambedu, Chennai. His party MNM meanwhile is not contesting the election and has extended his support to DMK.

Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) are the parties battling for votes in the region. The result of the highly anticipated democratic battle will be declared on June 4.
