Former Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma is never short of humor. Whether it is on the ground or off it, the Indian captain”s humorous way of scolding his younger teammates or questioning them is much loved in cricketing circuit. It also makes him one of the most loved cricketers in the country.
In a recent display of his humor, the Indian opener was seen trolling veteran spinner Amit Mishra in an unfiltered conversation over the latter”s age after the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 clash between Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants.
“What 40? Mere se teen saal bade ho aap (You are three years elder to me),” Rohit is heard telling the leggie before the latter replies, “I’m 41.”
Furthermore, the Indian skipper humorously said, “You made debut when we were in our nappies? You made your debut then? When you were 20?”
To his query, Mishra responded by saying, “Is it my fault?”

Incidentally, the veteran leg-spinner made his international debut in 2003, four years before Rohit donned the Indian jersey for the first time. The Haryana spinner made his first domestic appearance in 2022.
Mishra has not been a regular feature for LSG in the ongoing season of the lucrative tournament. He is fifth in the list of all-time most wicket takers in the IPL with 174 scalps in 162 matches to his name. He had picked up seven wickets in the last season.
LSG are currently third in the IPL 2024 points table while MI sit at the ninth spot.
