Driving into Opulence: The Allure of Mercedes-Benz's Latest Offerings - GLE LWB and AMG C 43 4MATIC

Mercedes-Benz India has unveiled two exciting additions to its line up just in time for the festive season which continues till December– the new GLE luxury SUV and the AMG C 43 4MATIC performance sedan. These offerings promise an enhanced driving experience, blending refined interiors, upgraded exteriors, and expanded technology and equipment features.

The new GLE range boasts three powertrain options: GLE 300 d 4MATIC, GLE 450 d 4MATIC, and GLE 450 4MATIC. While the GLE 300 d 4MATIC and GLE 450 4MATIC are available immediately, deliveries for the GLE 450 d will commence in January 2024. Notably, the GLE 450 d and GLE 450 models showcase powerful AMG styling, aligning them visually with Mercedes-AMG models.

Under the hood, the GLE range incorporates robust ISG-assisted engines paired with a 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission. The GLE 450 d and 450 feature AIRMATIC suspension, combining an adaptive damping system with modern air suspension. The second generation of the MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) infotainment system enhances the digital and intelligent aspect of the GLE”s interior. The system allows for control of various vehicle and comfort functions through LCD screens with brilliant display views. Additionally, the GLE comes equipped with a Burmester audio system boasting 13 speakers and a system output of 590 watts.

On the performance front, the AMG C 43 4MATIC introduces the world”s first series-production unit with an electric exhaust gas turbocharger powered by a 48-volt onboard electrical system. This innovative technology enhances response times and airflow rates, resulting in an impressive acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds. The car achieves a rated output of 300 kW (408 hp) at 6,750 rpm, with an additional boost of 10 kW (14 hp) available in certain situations.

Notably, the new Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC features rear-axle steering for improved manoeuvrability. The rear wheels turn opposite to the front wheels at lower speeds, creating a virtual shortening of the wheelbase and enhancing agility. At higher speeds, the rear wheels turn in parallel to the front wheels, providing stability and a faster build-up of lateral force during directional changes.

In terms of suspension, the car incorporates the AMG RIDE CONTROL steel-spring suspension with Adaptive Damping System, combining sporty driving dynamics with long-distance comfort. With these new offerings, Mercedes-Benz continues to deliver cutting-edge technology, performance, and luxury to its discerning customers, elevating the driving experience to new heights.
