On January 17, the opening day of the Bharat Mobility Show 2025, the Hyundai Creta EV will be unveiled and put on public display. Alongside the Ioniq 9 EV, the SUV will be one of the main draws at the Hyundai booth. Creta EV will be on display at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Show 2025 at New Delhi.
The Creta is expected to compete with the recently unveiled Mahindra BE 6e (perhaps called the BE 6), the Tata Curvv EV, the MG ZS EV, and Maruti’s soon-to-be born-EV SUV, the e Vitara (which will also make its debut at the conference).
The Creta EV is intended to be safer than some of its competitors, particularly in terms of design, where it is likely to share many characteristics with the normal ICE-powered Creta. A new closed grille, redesigned bumpers, and a new alloy wheel design are among the anticipated visual changes for the electric SUV.
The three-spoke steering wheel, a drive selector controller positioned next to the steering wheel column, a redesigned centre console with two cup holders, and buttons for the electronic parking brake, cooled seats, auto-hold, and 360-degree camera will be the interior distinguishing features. Furthermore, some of the equipment from the Alcazar makeover will be used, such as the HVAC controls on the centre panel. Together with a number of tactile buttons for convenient access, the Creta EV will continue to use a twin-screen infotainment and instrument cluster configuration. An new software interface and more EV-specific functionality might be added to the infotainment system.
As we previously reported, the Creta EV will have a 45kWh battery pack, which is comparable to the entry-level Curvv EV’s 45kWh battery (which also comes with a bigger 55KwH option), but less than the MG ZS EV (50.3kWh) and the future Maruti eVX (49-61kWh). It’s anticipated that the Creta EV would have a single, front-axle-mounted motor that generates around 138 horsepower and 255 Nm. This engine is comparable to the most recent Kona EV, which isn’t available for purchase in India. Approximately 24,000 SUVs will be produced annually by Hyundai India. When Hyundai’s Creta EV goes on sale next month, expect competitive pricing.
