KTM, has always been a popular brand among bikers and now they have launched the all-new 250 and 390 Duke models. The 200 Duke is set for a refresh as it will get the new TFT dash and switchgear from the 390, along. Prices are expected to go up by Rs 4,000-Rs 5,000 with the new switchgear from the bigger Duke models to make its way to the updated 200 Duke. The Bellypan will be given a miss on the updated model of KTM 200 Duke.

KTM 200 Duke all set to change in 2025

The biggest change to the updated 200 Duke will come in the form of the new TFT which will bring in a big boost for the 200 Duke and finally replace the LCD dash. This change was needed to bring a sense of premiumisation in the new launches that has been used since KTM’s India debut over a decade ago.

On this updated 200 Duke, there will be an upgrade in the switchgear from the bigger Duke models, which should enhance the ride and feel. However, there is one small change that seems to be the removal of the belly pan, which may slightly detract from the bike’s aesthetics.

There are no mechanical changes to the 200 Duke but the changes come with a small price hike in the region of Rs 4,000-Rs 5,000. The bike is currently priced at Rs 1.99 and the updated 200 Duke is likely to cross the Rs 2 lakh mark.

KTM is an Austrian brand, in which Bajaj has tie up. These bikes that are being currently sold in India and are all made in India, and are also exported to other countries. This bike used to be described with lack of appeal or not having the brand recall value when Hero, Honda and brands like Royal Enfield that were already making a mark. The term of being a bike brand in an unfamiliar territory found an unexpected association of customers with KTM bikes in India.

The colour orange on the bike found an instant gratification, by bringing a sense of affinity to the Indian bike lovers. This has been KTM’s branding and advertising strategy to stay unique from the rest of the brands. Orange – with a mix of yellow and red is much more than just a colour to them. It has also been the company’s philosophy for 20 years now. KTM has over 12 new models in India with most popular bikes being 200 Duke, 390 Duke and 250 Duke. The most expensive one is the KTM 390 Adventure, which is priced at Rs. 3,39,247.
