The Extreme 2025 Mercedes AMG GT 63 Launched; Priced At Rs 3 Crore
The GT 63 and the even more performance-focused GT 63 Pro were introduced by Mercedes’ performance division, AMG, costing Rs 3 crore and Rs 3.65 crore, respectively (ex-showroom, India). Delivery of the GT 63 will start in Q4 2025, and by Q1 2026, the GT 63 Pro will follow. After the first-generation model was discontinued in 2020, the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 has returned in its second iteration after a roughly 5-year hiatus. With the introduction of the GT 63 coupes, AMG now has nine vehicles in its India lineup.
Both GT 63s are powered by a hand-built 4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine and a 9-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that transfers power to all four wheels through the 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive system. AMG has tweaked this massive petrol block to produce 612 horsepower (+27 horsepower) and 850 Nm (+50 Nm) in the GT 63 Pro model, whereas it produces 585 horsepower and 800 Nm in the GT 63.

When equipped with Cup 2R tires, the GT 63 Pro accelerates from 0 to 100 kph a little faster, in 3.1 seconds, than the GT 63, which takes 3.2 seconds. Additionally, the Pro has a top speed of 317 kph, which is 2 kph faster than the regular coupe.
The AMG GT 63 Pro has more engine cooling, larger brakes, lighter wheels, and more traction in addition to all that increased engine power. In order to fully appreciate the potential of these AMG cars, Mercedes-Benz India will be providing exclusive track experiences at several racing courses.

According to AMG CEO Michael Schiebe, the DCT has a wet “starter” clutch that is attached straight to the V8’s end. It gives the new coupe “a much broader spread of driving characteristics, together with greater traction and added security in all weather conditions” and replaces the previous rear-wheel-drive setup, according to Schiebe.
The 2025 AMG GT 63 has a larger footprint than the previous model, with a wheelbase that is 70 mm longer, 182 mm longer, 45 mm wider, and 66 mm taller. Aluminum, steel, magnesium, and carbon fiber-reinforced polymers are among the lightweight elements used in the AMG SL roadster, which shares many of the same foundations as the GT 63 coupe. This keeps it lightweight and sturdy, while important parts like the cross braces and underbody panel are made to increase strength without gaining weight. Additionally, Mercedes offers rear axle steering (up to 2.5 degrees) and its Active Ride Control suspension as standard.
The steering wheel has a rotary dial that allows you to switch between the following drive modes: Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus, Individual, and Race. Additionally, there is a Drift mode that only applies full power to the back wheels. The front sports seats are notable for their automated side bolsters that narrow in Sport, Sport+, and Race driving modes, as well as the ventilation option. The AMG GT 63’s cabin’s main feature is its 2+2 seating arrangement, which contrasts with the rigid two-seat arrangement of its predecessor; the 63 Pro will only be offered with two seats. The boot space increases from 321 to 675 litres when the rear seats are folded down, which results in a 110 percent volume increase.
