Maserati has introduced its new compact SUV, the Grecale, to the Indian market with a starting price of Rs 1.31 crore (ex-showroom). Positioned below the Levante in Maserati‘s lineup, the Grecale is available in three variants: GT, Modena, and Trofeo. The Italian luxury automaker announced the Grecale’s launch in 2024 and has now brought it to India via the Completely Built-Up (CBU) route.
Engine Specifications:
The Grecale offers three engine options across its variants. The entry-level GT variant is powered by a 2-litre 4-cylinder mild hybrid engine that delivers 296 bhp and 450 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.6 seconds. The mid-range Modena variant features the same engine but tuned to produce 325 bhp and 450 Nm, achieving 0 to 100 kmph in 5.3 seconds. The top-tier Trofeo variant boasts a 3-litre V6 turbo engine, generating an impressive 528 bhp and 620 Nm, and can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.8 seconds. All variants come with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and offer an optional air suspension upgrade.

The Grecale is equipped with advanced technology and luxury features. It includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, and an 8.8-inch touchscreen for central console functions, including climate control. The GT variant comes with dual-zone climate control, while the Modena and Trofeo variants feature three-zone climate control. Additionally, the Grecale is equipped with Level 1 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) for enhanced safety.
Pricing and Competition:
The Maserati Grecale is available at the following ex-showroom prices in India: Rs 1.31 crore for the GT variant, Rs 1.53 crore for the Modena variant, and Rs 2.05 crore for the Trofeo variant. In the competitive luxury SUV market, the Grecale will go head-to-head with rivals such as the Porsche Macan.
