Since its October 2024 launch, the MG Windsor EV has sold over 20,000 units, making it a clear winner for the Chinese-owned Indo-British automaker. JSW MG Motor is preparing to introduce an updated Windsor EV, as was recently reported. This new electric crossover variant, which will be marketed as the MG Windsor EV Pro, will go on sale on May 6.

On its official social media accounts, MG Motor has today released the first official teaser for the forthcoming Windsor EV Pro. The qualities of the PRO Cabin, PRO Battery, PRO Convenience, PRO Style, PRO Tech, and PRO Safety are highlighted in the brief teaser video. More significantly, the new Windsor model will have a bigger battery pack in addition to a few other new features.

The most recent teaser and the most recent spy photo both confirm that no cosmetic styling adjustments will be made. According to reports, the Windsor EV’s “Pro” designation will be the sole change made to set it apart from the current model.

A bigger 50.6 kWh battery will be installed in the MG Windsor EV Pro. With a claimed range of 460 kilometres on the CLTC cycle, this battery pack is presently available in the Wuling Cloud EV that is being sold in Indonesia. The Windsor now comes with a 38 kWh battery that has an ARAI-rated 332km single-charge range. As early as next month, this Windsor model is anticipated to arrive in MG dealerships nationwide.

It is probable that MG will continue to use the same front-wheel-driven PMS motor, which produces 134 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque at a maximum speed of 170 km/h. It takes 8.6 seconds for the Windsor to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h.

The Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), which is expected to provide features like adaptive cruise control, automated emergency braking, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, etc., will also be a benefit of the upgraded Windsor in addition to its larger battery pack.

Six airbags, electronic stability control, a 360-degree camera, hill hold control, parking sensors, and a tyre pressure monitoring system are just a few of the features that are currently included in the safety kit.

A 15.6-inch infotainment system, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 6-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, a 4-way powered front passenger seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a rear bench with a sofa feature that can recline to 135 degrees are among the other convenience features available in the Windsor EV.
