Skoda Elroq RS Teased Ahead Of April 3 Debut; All-Electric Elroq Will Get An RS Version
In a teaser video, Skoda Auto offers a first look at the outside and inside of the Elroq RS, a sportier variant of the electric SUV. On April 3, 2025, the Czech automaker will make the EV public on its YouTube channel.
The “most dynamic Elroq model” is distinguished from the regular Skoda EV cars by the RS sub-brand’s distinctive Hyper Green color, which we most recently saw on the new Skoda Octavia RS at the Auto Expo. The Elroq RS is distinguished by its modified front bumper, blacked-out “SKODA” lettermark and roof rails, ORVMs, and RS badging above the front fenders. Additionally, the taillights displayed the new “Skoda Crystal Lighting” inscription.
The aero-optimised alloy wheels, which resemble the Skoda Vision 7S concept in style, also had a colored strip that matched the body color. These 21-inch wheels are also available on regular Elroq models that are now being sold abroad.
Skoda withheld information regarding the Elroq RS’s interior save for the “RS” badge on the steering wheel and the sports seats. The Elroq model might have sportier seats and a dark headliner, just like other Skoda RS vehicles. The next Elroq RS is probably going to keep the 13-inch central infotainment screen, head-up display, ambient lights, and wireless charging pad.
Although Skoda has not provided any information, it is possible that, similar to the Enyaq RS, the Elroq RS will only be available with the larger 85kWh battery pack (the other batteries are 52kWh and 59kWh). The Enyaq RS may be powered with a 326hp-RWD electric motor because it shares its foundation with the Volkswagen ID 3 GTX, a more potent variant of the VW ID 3. That falls just short of the Enyaq RS’s 339 horsepower. The RS SUV’s increased performance may result in a lower range than the ordinary Elroq 85’s over 560 km on the WLTP test.
By September 2025, Skoda India plans to introduce its first electric car. The Skoda Enyaq, Enyaq coupe, and Elroq are the top contenders; however, the automaker has not yet announced plans to introduce the Elroq RS to India. At auto shows, a few Enyaq and Elroq models have been on display; the former was even observed being tested on local roads. In an earlier interview, Petr Janeba, Brand Director, Skoda Auto India, stated, “We will choose one of the three for India based on the Indian government’s EV policy.” There isn’t an RS model available here right now, but that will change when the brand introduces the new Octavia RS as a complete import.
