Based on the Acti.EV platform, which is used by the Punch EV and the upcoming Harrier EV, the Sierra will be powered by Tata Motors’ electric architecture. Similar to the Harrier EV, Tata Motors has not disclosed any technical information or battery specifications, although it may have both single-motor front-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive. It should offer a driving range of around 500 km on a single charge. In terms of design, Tata Motors will be retaining the squarish wide road presence and stick to the concept as much as possible.
Both diesel and gasoline may be offered for the Sierra. Possibly coming to the Sierra is Tata Motors’ new 1.5-liter T GDI turbocharged gasoline, which debuted with the Curvv earlier this year. Additionally, there is the well-proven 2-litre diesel engine that generated 350 Nm of torque and 168 horsepower. Either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic torque converter transmission will be attached to it.
Tata Motors’ dedication to innovation and adaptability is seen in the Sierra EV and ICE models, which meet a range of customer demands. The Sierra appeals to both conventional fans and those who are concerned about sustainability because to its combination of strong ICE powertrains and cutting-edge electric platforms. As Tata Motors continues to lead in the EV space, the Sierra represents a milestone in balancing electric innovation with conventional performance, reaffirming the company’s dedication to shaping India’s automotive future.
