Toyota Rumion Unveiled in India, Prices Start at Rs 10.29 Lakh

Toyota has officially introduced the new Rumion MPV, with prices starting at Rs 10.29 lakh, ex-showroom. Bookings for the Rumion are now open, and deliveries are set to commence on September 8, 2023.The Rumion, available in six different grades, represents Toyota”s latest addition to its lineup of people movers. It is positioned as the fourth and most affordable MPV in Toyota”s India portfolio, joining the ranks of the Innova Crysta, Innova Hycross, and Vellfire.

Based on the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, the Rumion shares its powertrain and feature set with Ertiga. It is equipped with a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 101 bhp and 136.8 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a standard 5-speed manual transmission, with an optional 6-speed automatic transmission available. Additionally, a CNG variant is also offered, mirroring the Ertiga”s versatility.

In terms of features, the Rumion boasts a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, automatic climate control, cruise control, and connected car features. Safety is a priority with dual front airbags, front side airbags, a rearview camera, and an Electronic Stability Program (ESP).

This 7-seater MPV is powered by the 1.5-litre K-series petrol engine, generating 102 bhp and 137 Nm of torque, with the CNG variant producing 87 bhp and 122 Nm of torque. Transmission options include both manual and torque converter automatic.

Inside the Rumion, you”ll find a 7-inch infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, Toyota i-Connect for remote climate control and other functions, connected car technology, and an elegant dual-tone interior with wood inserts.

Safety features include dual front and side airbags, ABS with EBD, an engine immobilizer, an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and more. The Rumion will compete with similar models such as the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and XL6, the Kia Carens, and others in the segment.
