He further added that Kerala’s government is committed to supporting companies that drive progressive, sustainable, and job-creating

Founded in 1991 by technocrat Christo George, Hykon started with just five employees but quickly grew into a pioneering force in the field of power electronics. Today, it is a multi-crore turnover company employing more than 450 people directly and operating as a group of four companies with diversified activities.

Hykon’s core strengths span across solar energy, IT services, and power solutions, and it has earned recognition as the 6th top Indian manufacturing company in the Soft Disk rankings (2015–16). With a current turnover of over ₹100 crore and ISO 9001 certification for multiple group companies, Hykon continues to focus on quality and innovation.

Hykon’s mission is summed up in the phrase “Powering the Nation”—creating value for customers, stakeholders, and society through sustainable power solutions. The company defines “powering” not just as electricity, but as every process that leads to value creation in power and green energy.

The new plant will not only generate employment opportunities but also support local supply chains, startups, and renewable energy adoption.
