Indian flyer Vistara has announced today that the airline will offer 20 minutes of complimentary in-flight Wi-Fi, a first in Indian aviation. The airlines said in an update that passengers now can purchase the selected plans using Indian credit or debit card in addition to internationally issued credit cards.
The statement said from Vistara said the facility is currently available only for the International flights of the airlines.
“To purchase the plan, ensure your email address is registered and activated with your bank. You will receive an OTP for your transaction in your email to validate the purchase on board,” Vistara said.
This service is provided by Nelco Network Products Limited and powered by Panasonic Avionics Corporation, allows the customers to wirelessly connect to the internet at or above 10,500 feet, using their personal electronic device such as a laptop, tablet, or smartphone.
Important details of Vistara in-flight Wi-Fi facility
Club Vistara members are entitled to unlimited data for messaging services on international flights (operated on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and Airbus A321 aircraft).
Members must have completed their enrolment and have verified their contact details- both email and mobile number online will be able to access the Complimentary Wi-Fi.
Members must ensure their CV ID is added to the booking before boarding the flight to avail themselves of the benefit.
4 Members can use this service for themselves only and can access it on a single device.
The complimentary chat service is only for texting, and members cannot send or receive photos, videos, audio files, or any other form of attachment.
CV Platinum members are entitled to receive an additional 50MB of data which can be used for surfing along with the unlimited messaging service.
