Lulu Group International, an Indian Emirati-based multinational conglomerate company, is all set to open its first branch in Hyderabad later this month. With the grand opening of the latest mega shopping mall, Hyderabad will become the sixth city with lulu’s shopping mall presence.
The Lulu Mall which is located at Kukatpally in Hyderabad is one of the largest malls in India covering five lakh square meters. The grand opening of the much-awaited Lulu Mall is scheduled on September 27.
“We are delighted to announce the grand opening of LuLu Mall in Hyderabad on September 27th. As we embark on this new journey, we aim to create a haven of happiness and exceptional shopping experiences,” the company said in the LinkedIn post while sharing the visuals of the new mall.
An investment of Rs 300 crore was announced earlier. Along with domestic and international brands, the mall offers cinema hall, multi-cuisine food court and more.
“It’s going to be a very exciting launch for us as it marks our first foray into such a dynamic market like Hyderabad. Esteemed K.T Rama Rao, IT Minister of Telangana will preside over the mall’s grand opening ceremony”, said Shibu Philips, Director shopping malls of LuLu India to IndiaRetailing.
The Lulu Group chairman MA Yusuff Ali said that this investment in the state is the outcome of several discussions and MoU it signed with the government of Telangana during Industry Minister KT Rama Rao’s visit to the World Economic Forum last year in Davos.
The shopping centre will also generate employment opportunities for more than 2000 personnel, the release said.
Hyderabad will be the sixth city with the Lulu group’s shopping mall presence following Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Bengluru, Lucknow, and Coimbatore. In the official site, they have announced two upcoming projects in Kerala, Kottayam and Calicut.
They have also decided to establish new shopping malls in Ahmedabad and Chennai, creating employment opportunities for the local population.
