The Abu Dhabi-based group started its US operation in the United States in 2016, by establishing its food processing and logistics bases. The centre”s main work is that it will purchase, process, re-label and export food, non-food, chilled and frozen products made in the U.S.

The centre known as Y International focuses on exporting consumer goods and food items to retail businesses situated in the Middle East and India. In addition to the US, the group has food processing centres in the UK, Spain, Turkey, Vietnam, Thailand, China, and South Africa among others. In total, Lulu operates in 23 countries.

However, the food processing unit in the US is planning to expand their operations across other geographical areas of the country. As the New Jersey governor assured support for the group”s expansion, it is observed that the Lulu will take up more projects in the future.
