Reliance Industries Ltd. has secured the top position in the Wizikey News Score annual rankings” list, which features the most visible Indian corporates in the media with scores ranging from 0 to 100. State Bank of India (SBI) featured in the distant second position, followed by HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Bharti Airtel Ltd. This is the fourth consecutive year that Reliance has been ranked as the most visible media as per the Wizikey News Score.
The Wizikey”s News Score is the industry”s first integrated metric that measures news visibility in terms of volume of news, headline presence, reach of publications, and readership.
Reliance gained a news score of 96.46 in 2023, rising from 92.56 in 2022 and 84.9 in 2021. In terms of monthly analysis, RIL”s News Score reached 98 of the last 6 months from June to November 2023.
Reliance”s 2023 score is based on its cumulative reach of 74 billion. SBI has a news score of 85.81 with a cumulative reach of 46.9 billion, while HDFC Bank”s news score stays at 84.06 (42.4 billion cumulative reach), ICICI Bank”s at 81.9 (42.2 billion), and Bharati Airtel”s at 80.64 (40.3 billion cumulative reach), according to the report.
Being the world”s first standardised metric to measure news visibility for brands and individuals using artificial intelligence, big data, machine learning, and media intelligence, Wizikey”s News Score explores over 400,000 publications to rank corporations with a score range of 0 to 100. This rank acts as a standard metric score that measures PR efficiency.
In terms of PR efficiency, Reliance leads the way with a score of 216.8 k in the parameter, 31.5 k under the headline”s parameter, 14.3 k under the publication parameter, and 74 billion on the readership criteria, each parameter representing a wide 58–167 percent gap over the second-placed SBI.
