UAE Named World's Most Tax-Friendly Country; Ranks Top In Tax Burden, Tax Structure, Investment Migration
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: A new 48-country index by international residency and citizenship planning advisory firm Global Citizen Solutions (GCS) has named the United Arab Emirates the world’s most tax-friendly jurisdiction for global citizens.
The report evaluated jurisdictions across 11 indicators grouped into three pillars including tax burden, tax structure and investment migration. The UAE weighted at 42.5 per cent, 42.5 per cent and 15 per cent, respectively in these yardsticks.

Titled ‘Tax Optimisation for Global Citizens, the reported was prepared by the firm’s research arm, the Global Intelligence Unit.
The Emirate also topped the overall ranking on the back of its zero personal income tax rate, five per cent VAT or consumption tax, and no charge on departing residents.
