Zomato Shuts Down 'Zomato Legends' Service

Food delivery platforms Zomato’s CEO Deepinder Goyal announced that the company has decided to shut down its premium delivery service ‘Zomato Legends’. Goyal said the decision has been taken after the service was found not market fit.

Zomato Legends was a premium food delivery service offered by the food delivery aggregator in India. This service was designed to guarantee high-quality meals by partnering with top-rated restaurants known for their consistent food quality and hygiene standards. Zomato Legends restaurants were typically handpicked based on specific criteria such as customer ratings, consistent performance, and popularity.

“Update on Zomato Legends – after two years of trying, not finding product market fit, we have decided to shut down the service with immediate effect,” Goyal wrote on X about the concept that was aimed to provide users with a more reliable and premium food experience, ensuring that the dishes they order meet a higher standard compared to regular options available on the platform.
