'1,414 Students Of Delhi Government Schools Qualify NEET UGC - 2024 Exam': AAP Leader Atishi

National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the NEET UGC – 2024 result on June 4, 2024. Over 23 lakh candidates appeared for the national-level medical entrance examination this year. As the scores, ranks, and cut-offs were released by the testing agency, voices of discontent emerged against the NEET 2024 result from candidates, student associations, political leaders, and political parties. On one hand, candidates are demanding a re-examination the other hand political leaders are targeting the government and the testing agency over the alleged irregularities regarding the result.

The criticism over the NEET UGC- 2024 result has made so much noise that people hardly noticed the toppers and the achievements of those candidates who worked day and night to make their dreams come true. To acknowledge the hard work of these candidates the AAP leader, Atishi shared the remarkable achievement of the students studying in Delhi government schools.

The Aam Aadmi Party leader mentioned the performance of Delhi government school students this year and their continuous progress in the subsequent years. Atishi said that a total of 1,414 students of Delhi government schools have qualified for the NEET UGC 2024 exam. She also added that the number of students qualifying for the NEET exam is increasing every year. In 2020, 569 students studying in government schools in Delhi qualified for the NEET exam, and now in 2024, this number has come up to 1,414. “In only five years, the number of students qualifying NEET exam has increased by 2.5 times,” says AAP leader Atishi at a press conference.

The AAP leader further stated, “We have 12 Specialised Excellence schools. Out of these, 6 schools have achieved 100% results in NEET”. Aatishi also mentioned the role of the Delhi government in creating good education accessible for the poor. She said, “There has been a tremendous education revolution in Delhi under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal, due to which even the children of the poor are getting good education. Earlier no one could have imagined that the children of poor people would appear for IIT-IIM and medical competitive exams, but now they are appearing for the exams and are also passing them”.

The performance of Delhi’s government schools has remained outstanding in the CBSE board results also as the pass percentage of these schools remained above the national average.
