75,000 New Medical Seats In The Next 5 Years: PM Modi

Prime Minister, Narendra Modi addressed the nation on Independence Day from the Ramparts of Red Fort and announced the creation of an additional 75,000 medical seats in the next five years. India is celebrating its 78th Independence Day on August 15, 2024. PM Modi hoisted the national flag at the Red Fort and addressed the nation.

PM Modi said that in the last 10 years, nearly 1 lakh medical seats have been added and nearly 25,000 youngsters go abroad to pursue their medical degrees. He said These students go to various strange places to get a medical education which astonishes me. Considering this, the government has decided to add nearly 75,000 seats in the next 5 years, PM Modi said.

While talking about the increasing number of hospitals in the last few years and the increasing number of total number of medical seats PM Modi said, “We have expanded the health infrastructure by sanctioning an increase in the number of hospitals. We have also announced an increase in the number of MBBS seats in medical colleges so that our children can fulfill their dream of serving the nation as doctors”.

He also mentioned the tier-2 and tier-3 cities achieving wonders. PM Modi also mentioned the aspiration and achievements of the students from different parts of the country. He also talked about the satellite formation by the students, thousands of tinkering labs for the young scientist and the available opportunities to the children available in the country.
