ABVP Members Attack South Asian University Girl Student Over Food Dispute On Maha Shiv Ratri
A video of a female student being beaten up by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidya Parishad (ABVP) students inside South Asian University, Delhi is going viral on social media. Reportedly, there was an argument between two groups of students in the canteen over an issue related to food and then a fight broke out, the Delhi Police said.
The issue started with serving non-vegetarian food on the occasion of Mahashivratri in front of the students who were on fast. The scuffle started between the students of SFI and ABVP, where the ABVP students attacked a female student member of SFI.

SFI issued the statement clearing that the ABVP students were demanding to ban on non-vegetarian food in the university owing to Maha Shiv Ratri.

Student Federation of India (SFI) has issued a video of ABVP members attacking the female student. “Showing their cowardice, anti-women attitude, and sheer hooliganism ABVP attacked women students in SAU. We condemn the ABVP’s actions in the most fierce terms and extend solidarity to the courageous students of SAU,” SFI said.
As per the reports Ratan Singh, ABVP student studying at South Asian University attacked the female student in a scuffle that he initiated. Reportedly, the Ratan Singh had already harassed the said female student in the past. In the viral video, he can be seen grabbing the women student’s hair and dragging her violently during the attack.

South Asian University (SAU) is an international university opened for the SAARC students in 2010. The University campus is located in Maidangarhi, Delhi and shifted here in 2023.
