
'Won't Sit For Exam..': Girls Protested To Wear Hijab During UP Board Exam; DIOS Allows
After the incident of not allowing girls to sit for the UP Board class 10 exam in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, a similar case emerged in Moradabad, UP, where girls refused to remove their hijab during the security check. The incident took place at YPN Inter College in Thana Bhojpur.
The students reportedly said to rather leave the examination. The family members of the protesting girl’s students claimed that the girls were not even allowed to enter the examination hall while wearing hijabs.

Later, the matter reached the District Inspector of Schools (DIOS), Devendra Kumar, Moradabad, who arrived at the examination centre and intervened. After 15 minutes of the commencement of the exam, the girls were allowed to proceed with the exam wearing hijab.
DIOS directed teachers to permit wearing any attire without restriction and emphasized that no cheating should take place during the examination.
The girls were later allowed to sit after undergoing proper checking by the female teachers.
