Ashoka University Establishes Issac Centre For Public Policy (ICPP)

Ashoka University has announced the establishment of the Isaac Centre for Public Policy (ICPP) for the new public policy program. The centre is established by a grant from the Ajit Isaac Foundations (AIF), a philanthropic organization created by the Founder & Chairman of Quess Corp Ltd, Ajit Isaac, and his wife Sarah Isaac, the founders and trustees of Ashoka University.

This new centre will offer major undergraduate-level programs in Economics and Public Policy, and graduate and executive-level Programs. The executive-level programs will include professionals from both the public and private sectors. The focus areas here will be Agriculture and Rural Economy, Employment and Labour, Indian Regulators, and Public Finances. The centre will also commission advanced interdisciplinary research.

The centre will work in collaboration with the leading public, private, and non-profit sector stakeholders to identify research gaps linked with policy-making and implementation. The institute will leverage the experience of the leading experts from within and beyond the university to engage with the policy on an ongoing basis.

On the occassion of the announcement event, Sarah Issac said, “we are delighted to partner them to generate ideas and research on public policy to enable inclusive and sustainable growth”. It will furthe the Ashoka University’s founding vision to leverage philanthropic capital to build an academic institution to help create social impact at scale and contribute to nation bulding, added Ms Issac.
