CBSE Releases 87% Of Class 12 Revaluation Results

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the first phase of the Class 12 revaluation and verification results, declaring outcomes for more than 87 per cent of the applications received from students seeking a review of their board examination marks.

In a statement, the board said the results are being published in a phased manner and that the remaining applications will be processed and announced soon.

“The CBSE has commenced the release of Class XII Verification of issues observed and Re-evaluation outcomes. The outcomes are being released in a phased manner, with over 87 per cent of the total applications received being declared today,” the board said.

Students who applied for verification of marks or re-evaluation can check their updated results through the official CBSE results portal on DigiLocker using their login credentials.

According to the board, the post-result process was carried out through a transparent and carefully monitored system to ensure accuracy and fairness.

CBSE also urged students and parents not to rely on rumours or unverified information circulating on social media and to follow only official communications for updates.

The Class 12 board examination results for 2026 were announced on May 13 for nearly 17.69 lakh students.

Following the declaration of results, candidates were given an opportunity to obtain scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets between May 19 and May 25.

Applications for verification of observed issues and re-evaluation were accepted from June 2 to June 7.

CBSE said the post-result services platform operated under the supervision of technical experts from the Digital India Corporation, IIT Kanpur and IIT Madras.

The board added that safeguards were put in place to protect the system from unauthorised access and ensure the integrity of the evaluation process.

The board further stated that whenever a student’s claim regarding an evaluation issue is found to be valid, necessary corrections are made and marks are updated accordingly. Students can view the status of their requests through DigiLocker.

For candidates whose verification outcome has been marked as “No Change,” CBSE said an opportunity to inspect answer books at the concerned regional office will be provided. The schedule for the inspection process is expected to be announced shortly.

The release of the revaluation results comes at a crucial time for students awaiting revised scores for college admissions and other academic opportunities.

The board was also recently in the spotlight after some students raised concerns that scanned answer sheets uploaded through the system did not match their handwriting, prompting discussions about the evaluation process.
