The National Testing Agency (NTA) will start the registration process for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) 2024 soon, most likely today, on February 26. Interested candidates can fill out the online application form at the official website.
The NTA will administer the CUET UG 2024 this year from May 15 to May 31, 2024, and the results will be made public three weeks after the previous test.
Students appearing for Class 12 exams in 2024 are also eligible to apply. However, they are required to submit class 12 qualifying documents within a given time frame.
Reportedly, this year NTA will conduct the CUET in a hybrid format to facilitate students appearing from rural areas. The hybrid mode will include an OMR-based pen-and-paper test and a Computer Based Test (CBT). CBT will allow candidates in remote or rural areas of the country to take the exam closer to their homes.
As per the information, for subjects that have a higher share of registration or application, OMR-based Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) will be asked for better accessibility. One more change in the examination process is the number of subjects for CUET UG. The subject’s number will be reduced from ten to six. The decision is in response to the technical challenges of managing a large number of subject registrations, particularly in releasing the answer key on time. Via this student are encouraged to focus on their chosen programs.
The transition to hybrid mode and reduction in subjects from 10 to 6 shows a commitment to addressing practical challenges in exam conduct.
The examination will take place in 3 shifts from 9 AM to 11 AM, 12:30 PM to 2 PM, and 4 PM to 5:30 PM.
