Forbes Releases List Of Colleges Producing Most Billionaires

Recently, Forbes released a list of the colleges producing the most billionaires. The billionaires across the 12 colleges listed have a combined net worth of nearly $1.7 trillion. As per the Forbes report the list of the most billionaires includes alums from Harvard to USC. However, the names of  Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg are not included in the list despite attending the prestigious Cambridge Ivy, as both are dropouts.

The University of Pennsylvania billionaires include Testla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk and former US president Donald Trump, designer Tory Burch, and Estee Launder heirs Leonard, William, Ronald, and Aerin Lauder. The total worth of the billionaires who graduated from here have a net worth of $367 billion.

The Standford University fellows include Snap Inc. CEO Evan Spiegel and Bobby Murphy. Other billionaire alums who pursued careers in tech entrepreneurship from Stanford include DoorDash founders Andy Fang and Stanley Tang. The Stanford’s graduates total net worth is $90 billion.

Harvard University produced 28 billionaires, including Airbnb co-founder and CSO Nathan Blecharczyk, who graduated in 2005 in computer science. Other billionaires from Harvard include cofounder and chairman of Fenway Sports Group Tom Werner, and creator of Sam Adams Jim Koch.

Yale University produced 19 billionaires with a total net worth of $149 billion. It includes members of the Mars family, famously known for making candies like M&M’s, Snickers, and Twix; Fred Smith FedEx founder and Pinterest founders Ben Shibermann and Paul Sciarra.

The Cornell graduates total net worth includes $60.4 billion. Rober F. Smith, founder and CEO of Vista Equity Partners graduated in engineering. Member of the SC Johnson family, Workday and PeopleSoft cofounder David Duffield and Moderna cofounder Rober Langer also forms the Cornell alums list.

The University of Southern California’s 12 billionaires have a total net worth of $72.5 billion. George Lucas, the storyteller behind the famous ‘Star Wars’ graduated from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts in 1967. The list also includes Real estate tycoons Rick Caruso and Edward Roski Jr., and Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff.

The Princeton University in New Jersey alum list with a $203 billion fortune includes the second – richest man in the world, Jeff Bezos. Other notable Princeton alumni with billions of worth are investor Carl Icahn, former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, and former eBay CEO Meg Whitman.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s prestigious graduates include 11 billionaires featuring in tech and engineering.  With a total worth of $ 88.3 billion, MIT’s alumni network includes Lisa Su, CEO of Advanced Micro Devices, and Dropbox founders Drew Houston and Arash Ferdowsi.

Dartmouth’s billionaires Stephen Mandel Jr., the Lone Pine Capital hedge fund founder, and Leon Black, Apollo Global Management cofounder, both served as trustees at its campus. They both have a total net worth of $48.5 billion.

Robert Kraft with a net worth of $11.1 billion, Sami Mnaymneh CEO of HIG Capital, Rocco Commisso – Mediacom founder, and Third Point hedge fund founder Daniel Loeb are among the 11 Columbia University graduates with a net worth of $49.5 billion.

Larry Page, the Google cofounder is the University of Michigan’s wealthiest alumni with a net worth of $146.1 billion. Other billionaires are Stephen Ross founder of Related Companies and Eric Lefkofsky. The net worth of Michigan billionaires reaches $181 billion.

Charles Simonyi, Microsoft co-developer with a net worth of $7.7 billion is the richest billionaire of UC Berkeley.
