Former DRDO Chairman, Dr. G Satheesh Reddy Joins BITS Pilani
Dr. G Satheesh Reddy, former Chairperson of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), has joined the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani as a Distinguished Senior Faculty to support its Research and Innovation efforts primarily in the domain of National Security.
Dr. Reddy has played a pivotal role in advancing India’s defense capabilities through numerous high-impact projects and innovations during his tenure at DRDO.
While talking about his new role within the institute, Dr Reddy said that he wanted to join the research after spending 39 years at DRDO. Applauding the establishment of the Center for Research Excellence in National Security (CRENS) at the BITS Pilani, he said to work and collaborate with industry, security agencies and startups to bring innovation and technology advancement.

Dr. Reddy will be at the centre of research and academic leadership of the CRENS. experience is expected to strengthen the department’s research initiatives and elevate its academic programs. His addition is a testament to the university’s commitment to fostering excellence in engineering education and research
