IIT Bombay Launches e-Postgraduate Diploma In Computer Science and Engineering

IIT Bombay announced the launch of the e-Postgraduate Diploma (ePGD) in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). This online ePGD is slated to start in June 2025 and enrolments are now open. For more information about the e-Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering and enrollment details, candidates can visit – cse.iitb.ac.in.

IIT Bombay has already launched three ePGDs prior to this with huge response from learners across India.

Eligibility requires candidates to hold a B.E., B.Tech., or BS (4 years), or a higher degree in relevant fields of Computer Science and allied fields. In the absence of this, prospective learners with a B.E., B.Tech., BS (4 years), or equivalent in any engineering discipline may also be considered subject to them fulfilling qualifying conditions.

Designed and delivered by IIT Bombay CSE faculty, this ePGD requires candidates to complete 6 courses through a mix of Advanced Programming, Computing Systems, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. This ePGD will culminate with a graduation ceremony on campus, where alumni status will be conferred upon candidates completing the ePGD requirements.

At the launch ceremony, Prof. Shireesh Kedare, Director of IIT Bombay, stated, “The ePostgraduate Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering is our significant step towards democratizing access to high-quality computer science education. This ePGD extends the opportunity for working professionals and aspirants beyond our traditional campus students to deepen their expertise in areas like advanced programming, computing systems, artificial intelligence and machine learning”.

This ePGD is tailored for software developers, data scientists, machine learning practitioners, IT professionals, engineers, fresh graduates and technically adept individuals who seek to deepen their understanding and formalise their knowledge through a postgraduate diploma.
