IIT Kanpur Invites Applications For eMasters Degree In Cyber Security

IIT Kanpur has started the application procedure for the 4th batch of eMasters program in Cyber Security. The course has witnessed three successful enrollment cycles and is now attracting a surge of applications for its fourth batch. Applications for the July 2024 batch are open till April 30th, 2024.

IIT Kanpur’s world-class cyber security research and technology innovation hub C3iHub planned the curriculum and is in charge of coordinating the program. As per the institution over 250 professionals have already trained and received degrees under the eMasters program from IIT Kanpur and their careers are set to soar in innovative fields.

Prof. Sandeep K. Shukla, Program coordinator, eMasters in Cyber Security, said, “Massive digitization across sectors and industries has led to an increasing focus on cybersecurity and a demand for professionals trained in relevant skills.

The program prepares cyber security professionals to navigate the ever-evolving cyber threat landscape, helping professionals build capabilities for understanding the cyber threats, vulnerabilities and risks posed by cyber threat actors to their organizational network and business functions.

Under the eMasters program, professionals and cyber security enthusiasts are trained through the course work to be well-versed with the latest concepts in cyber security including application security, web security, network security, mobile security, hardware security, cryptography, IoT security, critical infrastructure security, machine learning based security tooling, and relevant topics in Computer Science such as operating systems, networking and mathematics relevant to cyber security.
