KCET Result 2024 Expects To Be Declared Today, How To Check It

Karnataka KCET result 2024 is expected to be released today, May 23, 2024. The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) Result 2024 will be announced by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). Those who appeared for the examination will be able to check the results on the official website – kea.kar.nic.in. The login credentials – roll number and first four characters of the candidate”s name (mentioned on the hall ticket) will be used to download the result.

Over 3.27 lakh candidates appeared for the KCET exam 2024 conducted on April 18 and 19, 2024 and April 20, 2024.

On May 20, KEA announced on social media X that “The results of KCET-24 can be published only after the announcement of the 2nd PUC 2nd exam and Agriculture Practical Test results. Further, KEA will officially notify the date on which results will be published, prior to the announcement date.” However, the exact timing of the result has not been announced so far.

Notably, to qualify the exam, Horandu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates will have to score at least 12 out of 50 marks in the Kannada Language Examination. Candidates from the general category need to score at least 50% marks to qualify the KCET exam, while the SC/ST candidates will have to secure at least 40% marks.

Reportedly this year, nearly 50 questions were deemed to be out of syllabus which created a huge uproar among the candidates. KEA, following the Department of Higher Education’s instructions exempted a total of 50 questions which include 11 questions in the biology section, 9 in physics, and 15 each in mathematics and chemistry. The exempted questions were marked with an ‘X’ in the final answer key.

Step 1: Go to the official website – kea.kar.nic.in

Step 2: Click on the “KCET Result 2024” link

Step 3: Insert the login credentials – roll number and password

Step 4: Submit and download the KCET result

Step 5: Check it carefully and take the print out for further use.
