Nainital, Uttarakhand: A higher senior secondary school in the Okhalkanda block in Nainital district has recorded a zero pass percentage in the class 10 state board examination. Authorities have launched a probe in the matter.
The Government Higher Secondary School in Bhadrakot reportedly had only one class 10 student who appeared in the board exams and proceeded to fail in all the subjects. Despite the meagre student count, the school had seven teachers on its rolls.

The school had seven teachers teaching arts, mathematics, science, Hindi, English, and social sciences. The arts teacher was reportedly transferred to another school recently.
The school became the only government educational institution in the state with a zero pass percentage in the Class 10 board exams. The Class 10 board exam results were declared on April 19.
Nainital Chief Education Officer Govind Jaiswal has said that the matter will be investigated and action will be taken accordingly.

In the previous year, a total of seven students were enrolled in the school from classes six to 10. Out of these, there were only two students each in classes six and seven and one single student each in classes eight, nine and ten.
