As the voting for the Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir Election progresses, Congress senior leader Jairam Ramesh has raised concerns over the delay in updates on election trends on the election commission website.
The Rajya Sabha MP has alleged that the outdated data is used to influence the administration. In a post on X, he wrote, “Like the Lok Sabha elections, in Haryana, we are again witnessing slowing down of uploading up-to-date trends on the ECI website. Is the BJP trying to build pressure on administration by sharing outdated and misleading trends?”

While speaking to ANI, the Congress leader said that they will file a complaint and a memorandum. “We hope that the EC will answer our questions. The results of 10-11 rounds are already out but only 4-5 rounds have been updated on EC website. This is a tactic to pressure the Administration..” he said.
Pawan Khera also echoed these concerns while speaking to ANI. He pointed out the discrepancies between the actual number of rounds counted and the date being displayed on television. “The EC data is lagging behind, they are still showing 4th or the 5th found data while 11 rounds have been counted,” he said. He further alleged that while Jammu and Kashmir is getting live data Haryana is lagging behind with actual data.
